“Candid phone photo snapped by a coworker of a young Filipino man with glasses at his desk, turning toward the camera with a genuine laugh, wearing a denim shirt. Monitors, a plant, sticky notes and an open-plan office in the background, overhead fluorescent light mixed with window daylight, slight motion and imperfect framing. Natural skin texture, catchlights, authentic team page photo, no text, no lettering, no watermark.”
Use this promptWhat it does best
Every line here comes from our own runs of Grok Imagine 2.

Real-photo look
Both cold brew runs looked like a phone snapshot, not an ad. It was the only one of 18 images to frost the glass itself, as the prompt said.
The only frosted bottle of 18 images in our nine-model test
Can go polished too
Asked for a retouched studio portrait, it dropped the snapshot look. Grey paper backdrop, navy suit, softbox light, in both runs.
2 of 2 studio portraits on brief
Exact text
Both cold brew labels and both night market posters came out right. It added no words of its own to any of them.
Text exact in 4 of 4 runs across two of our tests

Product still life of a cobalt glass sake bottle with a washi label, from "NIGHT HERON", a fictional Edo-founded brewery that only bottles on moonlit nights. The label is ukiyo-e woodblock print style: a black-crowned night heron standing in reeds under a full moon, a stylised Hokusai-style wave curling behind, flat indigo, persimmon and pale ochre areas with visible woodgrain texture and keyline outlines, printed on fibrous washi. Typography: "NIGHT HERON" in a brushy Latin serif in a vertical cartouche, "Junmai Ginjo" in small caps, and "720 ml" at the bottom. Tied with a braided red cord at the neck. On a dark slate tray with a small ceramic ochoko cup, moonlit cool blue light and a warm paper lantern glow. Every quoted string is spelled exactly and is the only text on the packaging. Fictional brand; no real logos or trademarks.
Use promptUseStudio product shot of a tall rectangular olive oil tin from "RASTER", a fictional Ligurian co-op that labels its oil like a 1960s Zurich transit poster. Swiss International Typographic Style: a strict modular grid screen-printed directly on the matte white tin, flush-left asymmetric layout, an enormous red numeral "01" bleeding off the top edge, thin black rules dividing the panel into exact columns, a single solid black circle as the only graphic. Typography: "RASTER" in a tight neo-grotesque sans, lowercase "extra virgin olive oil" set small in the second column, "500 ml" aligned to the baseline grid at the bottom. Only red, black and white. The tin stands on a pale limestone slab with a few olives and a sprig of olive leaves, hard Mediterranean sunlight casting one crisp diagonal shadow, clean seamless background in warm grey. Every quoted string is spelled exactly and is the only text on the packaging. Fictional brand; no real logos or trademarks.
Use promptUseCandid smartphone photo looking down at a freshly opened mailer box on a rumpled white duvet, crinkled pink tissue paper pulled back to reveal a lavender skincare jar labelled "DEW DROP" spelled exactly, no other text. A thank-you sticker and a folded receipt-free insert card beside it. Morning window light, slightly tilted framing, mild phone HDR, a corner of a knit blanket in frame. Authentic UGC unboxing post feel.

Authentic late-night road trip social post.

Prompt tips
What changed Grok Imagine 2's results in our runs.
Start with "phone photo"
All three Grok images our curators kept begin that way, and name the light a phone would see.
Phone photo with the flash on at nightChange the prompt, not the run
Our two kitchen runs gave the same two people at the same table. A new run won't give you a new shot.

It takes words literally. "Frosted glass bottle" got frosted glass; the others drew condensation.
